That all went out the window with GWB. I thought the ‘don’t mess with TX’ still meant something and I was sure that, as a Texan, W would be a stalwart on conservative issues.
At the very least he wouldn’t have caved to the muslims after 9.11.

But I keep in mind that UT is in Austin. Austin is really not part of Texas...not really. :)
