I don’t think Kate’s Law is strict enough. It should be 2 years for the first offense, 5 years for the second, 10 for the 3rd, 20 for the 4th, etc. etc. If they have already been caught 3 times then they qualify for the 20 year term.
Oh, and this isn’t just languishing in some federal prison somewhere, this is working 10 hours a day in the fields to grow and pick produce for Americans and his/her fellow inmates. No free rides.
Pay them $.10 an hour payable when they get out and dropped off at the farthest possible point from the US in their country as possible.

The 8th amendment ban is against cruel and unusual punishment. Do it regularly and it won’t be cruel and unusual, just cruel.
(I can play with the language just like the anti-2nd amendment folks can.)
Two solutions here: hanging or shooting. Whichever is more cost-effective, so the minimum amount of taxpayer money is wasted on this ambulatory pile of steaming crap.
You’ll notice that those that side with the criminals never notice how cruel and unusual they are in their crimes against the innocent.
