If there’s a difference, adultery is the worse of the crimes according to Biblical law. Adultery is specifically referenced in the Ten Commandments, which are the most basic and important of the laws of the Bible. It is then also listed again along with homosexuality in the laws covering sexual prohibitions. Adultery is not only a transgression against prohibited sexual behavior but also a crime against the institution of holy matrimony.
