(Source: WMC Action News 5) (Source: WMC Action News 5) MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Homeland Security issued an alert via police radios about a threat made against Memphis police officers.
The alert states that someone threatened to shoot a police officer in the area of 201 Poplar this afternoon. The alert later said the location had changed to the area of I-40 and I-240, but that threat was proven false. The alert remains active for 201 Poplar.
Police officers were told to be vigilant.
"Our MPD Communications received information from an anonymous caller who advised a police officer would be shot today in the area of 201 Poplar of course we don't know at this time if it was a prank or if it's an actual true threat," said MPD spokesperson Alyssa Moore.

The muslime ISIS and the muslime leader of the new black panthers have both threatened to kill cops and soldiers. They are working together. Then you throw the muslim Farrakan into the mix and you get Obama’s orchestrated chaos beginning. There’s a reason he has not condemned this urban warfare.
I think this is the Black Panthers and they’re now getting more brazen; ISIS is more focused on the Middle East.
Yeah, well, they might want to re-think all of this. They just maybe are biting off a bit more than they can chew with MPD.
This type of thing would blend in ‘very nicely’ with ISIS affiliated lone wolfs doing their attacks.
