No. This is only about marginalizing Christians. That’s all it is.
Yep, disgusting. I'm so SICK of this country! SICK SICK SICK of KING OBAMA and his sub-tyrants!
O’Reilly is busy alarming the country over repeat, illegal immigrant offenders who have aggravated felonies on their record. Kate Steinle was murdered by one who had been released 5 previous times despite FELONIES.
This woman is arrested for her faith.
Whoever posted ‘bring your toothbrush’ had the right answer to what happened today.
A Republican appointed judge, a Republican, did this......
Will she go there or to a federal facility since a federal judge arrested her?
Meanwhile clinton and obama have committed treason and nothing happens to them.
She is being denied her religious liberty.
Will the ACLU help her?.....
Who said anything about agreeing with the decision? I think the Supreme Court got it wrong. But I also believe in the rule of law. If every county clerk (or individual, for that matter) got to just ignore court decisions and substitute their own beliefs, the rule of law would be no more.
>>Rather than allow this get so far out of hand, perhaps she shouldve alerted the media to what was going on and then quit her job, using the exposure she would get from the situation to show her dedication to Christ and the gospel, which would be a super powerful testimony to believers and unbelievers alike.
You mean like the Apostles did? Oh yeah....they went to jail instead of quitting.
And they say that justice is blind. The approved thinking on this subject is found with both Republican and Democrat judges, politicians, and civil servants.
There is no regard for faith, despite the Constitution saying that is the one thing the government cannot intrude upon.
When the fathers went to jail for sending their children to an ‘unlicensed’ Christian school in the early 1980’s during a civil disobedience situation I remember well, the protestors were outside in Nebraska.
Just admit it: you approve of homosexual marriages, and you oppose what Kim Davis was doing.
You mean like the Apostles did? Oh yeah....they went to jail instead of quitting.
Isn’t Obamaland great?
Don’t you love that no one is even trying to stop it? :)
“In any case, this lady could not issue marriage licenses. The KY law on this has yet to be written.”
It seems to me that is correct... If the law authorizing her to issue marriage licenses was deemed unconstitutional, then she has no authority to issue them until a new law is written. The old law essentially no longer exists.
The USSC didn’t change the old law, they just declared it not constitutional.
“I think the Governor can pardon her.”

I oppose both.
Vigil at the Jail House as soon as we discover which one.
Also, bail...let’s do a funding of her bail. I don’t think she can be denied bail can she?
Yes, except that she IS following the laws that she swore to uphold.
Not quite; she desistd from issuing licences to anybody, same sex or otherwise...
seems to me what she should have done is refuse to issue licences to anybody, and then used the reasoning that the state needs to issue guidance, in order for her to continue the process...instead, she forced a confrontation by citing religious convictions...
Of course, that may have been her purpose all along, and if so, I applaud her courage...
It strikes me as correct, also.
The courts just ruled that demonstrations outside the US Supreme Court are illegal.
I don’t know if that pertains to this local court house, but why wouldn’t it? Especially if the judge is ruling on his own protest. :)
