WHAT LAW?
SCOTUS voided KY marriage law. There is no state licensing of marriage. There is no certificate to compel Davis to sign. She is now imprisoned by dictate, not law.
This is the hill.
The White House has an exceptional flair for comedy.
And they do it straight faced with impeccable timing.
While there may be State and local ordinances permitting same sex "marriage", who passed a federal law to that effect?
No one.
The courts do not write law, they are only supposed to rule on whether a law is valid.
If the courts invalidated the Kentucky law, then there is no law, no statute to disobey, only a court ruling.
I hope those words come true for him and his secretary of state.
That's exactly why he and his homies make these public proclamations of outrage. They can't help themselves. They are self-condemned. They can't remove a beam that they don't believe exists.

Then I reckon we’ll see ALL the county clerks in prison who issued marriage liscences to gays when it was ILLEGAL to do so huh?- California issued all kinds of licenses AFTER the people voted to ban gay marriage- How come those folks are above the law but a Christian isn’t?
And just for the record- the supreme court’s decision to create a new law out of thin air was ILLEGAL, and therefore the gay marriage ‘law’ is illegitimate - The supreme court is in the business of ruling on ESTABLISHED law, NOT creating law- Kim and EVERY county clerk are fully within their rights to keep doing business as usual and IGNORING the gay marriage ‘law’

Exactly, Kim did NOT break ANY law- there was a ruling- which the SC and the govenrment pretended was a law, but there was no actual law-
I REALLY hope their ‘no public official is above the law’ comes back to bite them in the aspirin- when their own words ARE used against htem when it is found that THEY violated the law by trying to enforce a ruling ILLEGALLY- trampling state laws!
