Yes but this “mistake” could very well enable the nuclear annihilation of Israel and the US.

Let us think about would have happened if he voted no. What would be different? Nothing except the Cruz detractors would have one less complaint. If the Senate had not passed it what would be different? As I understand there would be no discussion on the floor and even less chance to stop or delay the provisions of the Iran bill. So Ted did the only thing that was available that had the potential to slow and delay a traitorous bill so that the American people could voice their concern and rally an opposition. I am not sure his last gasp for sanity was a mistake in the context of the situation. I do know if he could have defeated the Iran deal he would have in spades! I also know if he is elected president, the deal will be repealed to furthest extent that law provides and then maybe even a little more.

Instead of blaming one senator out of 100, why don't you, guys, do something more productive by joining his rally next week? Trump is going to be there.

You are right. Ted Cruz tried to do the best he could in the bad situation we had. To blame one senator for the nuclear annihilation of Israel and the US is lunacy.

The difference is he is supposed to be an expert on the Constitution, knows it backwards and forwards. He should have known that this was a treaty, not a bill and should be voted on as such. Is he so naive that he wasn’t able to decipher what changing the rules would do? He’s been in the Senate for 2 years and should have known the backroom deals and lies that occur there. ALL senators who voted yes for the Corker bill are equally to blame, but Cruz should have known better.

I never said the blame was Cruz’s alone. ALL senators who voted yes to this are equally to blame.

My husband is going. I have to stay at home with our 2 daughters, one of which is recovering from surgery or we would all be going.

If you don’t attend the rally on Wednesday, the nuclear bombs that Iran will be detonated over the US will have your name on it. How about that?

Read my post above. I said my husband is going. My daughter is recovering from heart surgery, otherwise our whole family would be there.

I see I struck a nerve about your man Cruz for you to post something so stupid. Believe me, I have called, written and faxed to Washington and my reps over and over about this deal.

There is no excuse! (/kidding)

You have your reason. Ted Cruz has his reason. But you don't accept his reason. It should not be the reason for you to blame him for Iran's behavior. Why do you think Ted Cruz is having the rally anyway?

May God protect your little ones as always.

“But Cruz is still my man. Even Reagan made some mistakes that he regretted.”

Cruz could get it done long term and bring real change. Really shrink government; and as Reagan said; “get the government off our backs”.

That takes a lot of work; and a knowledge of how to work the system and outwit the change resistant bureaucrats.

People today forget how extremely Reagan was hated by the left.
He was really hated because the left knew he was truly shrinking government.
Reagan believed in the decency and good of the American people. And the ability for common people to get things done (and thrive and prosper) without the heavy hand of government.

The left thinks we are stupid and childlike. Children can’t be trusted; and need to be told what to do.

By the way, I imitated your comment about Ted Cruz. Here is your quote:

Cruz never should have voted for the Corker bill to begin with. The nuclear bombs that Iran will be detonated over the US will have his name and the names of every single sellout who voted for it.

I’m very disappointed in all the senators who voted for the Corker bill. Now Reid the Weasel said they should have enough votes to fillibuster so Corker’s bill won’t even be voted on to the RATS can save face and McConnell the Turtle will probably roll over and let him have his way.

I am thoroughly disgusted with these Washington traitors.

I know your feeling! The "Washington Cartel" will do everything to get what they want.

But, there is good news! Only God has power. I'll keep praying to see God in action.

Sorry, but this is pretty lame. It “delays slightly”? In the process it gives Zero what he needs with 1/3 fewer votes??

No, quite the contrary. Reagan had significant achievements before S-M. Cruz only has a handful of votes to judge him by. When you get one of those wrong, it’s a concern.

“Sellout” is a great term that applies to the American people themselves.

One can only have a handful in two years and at age 44. FWIW, Cruz has the most green lights on CR out of all the other GOP 2016 candidates.

Reagan was 70 in 1981 and 75 when Simpson-Mazzoli came along, just to compare. And there were a few spots on his CA governorship, such as raising taxes and signing the Therapeutic Abortion Act; both of those I also say I will not dwell on.
