I believe Cruz is smart enough to realize he is not going to be the GOP nominee so he has hitched his wagon to Trump’s star and Trump will give his a really good job once he’s Prez. Either VP or AG.
Maybe Cruz and Trump came to some kind of reciprocal agreement. They met multiple times behind closed doors. They had to be talking substance about *something*.
