Cash for clunkers. I remember my friend who runs the Mopar dealership showing me one of the tradeins he was going to have to destroy. A nearly spotless Dodge pickup with the Slant Six and stick. It would have made a great vehicle for someone just starting a business. He nearly had tears in his eyes.
One of the guys from a previous employer was counted over 80 times in a year as a “job created” under stimulus accounting requirements. Total BS.
