Does this guy stand for anything more substantial than free doughnuts for all? What are his core values?

I like Ted Cruz. He is a leader, not a follower. He isn’t wishy-washy about religious issues. He has always defended our freedom to practice our religious beliefs. He stands with God. I think he understands the Constitution and our republic form of government better than any of the presidential candidates. He supports the Constitutional powers given to the federal government and those not named being reserved for the states. He knows how the three-branch system of government should function if each branch fulfills it’s Constitutional duties and responsibilities.

Ever notice how many of the other presidential candidates change to be politically correct on the tough issues. They follow the crowd. Not Ted, his views are consistent from day to day. He believes in God, the Republic, and Constitution our founding fathers gave us that insured we have the freedom to practice our religious beliefs, free from a government sponsored religion or atheism that would suppress or prohibit those beliefs.

The Judicial branch is out of control. Today, the SCOTUS and unelected liberal federal judges are issuing opinions that attempt to abridge our freedom of religion and other freedoms given in the Constitution. They don’t seem to understand what the law really means from a Constitutional standpoint. Their personal opinions and political correctness influence their decisions. They are legislating new “laws” from the bench which they have no authority to do under our system of government. As a result our laws have become meaningless and are in conflict with each other and our beliefs.

The Executive and Legislative branches are just as screwed-up and do not fulfill their lawful duties either. We are suffering from their failed leadership.

We are in one mell of a hess as the liberal judges and politicians are slowly replacing our Republican form of government with socialism and government over-reach. Every area from jobs, world leadership. the economy, immigration, you name it - is screwed-up. The next election is our last chance. After that who knows.

Ted Cruz has a plan and believes there is still hope we can turn things around like Reagan did after the Jimmie Carter years. (The millennials should have lived through those years). That is the other reason I like Ted Cruz. He gives me hope. It’s refreshing to hear something different from a candidate other the same old Washington crowd BS.

I know many on FR highly regard “the Donald”, but keep an open mind and an eye on Ted Cruz. Both have excellent leadership abilities and we need all the leadership we can get.
