Good for Putin. If the Russians concentrate on McCain’s friends (the rebels) Assad can concentrate on ISIS.
If it was up to me I’d let him have his chemicals back if he’d promise to only use them on ISIS.
Our leaders just can’t seem to understand. When we take out a dictator his replacement is ALWAYS worse.
Russia is there by invitation; they don’t need UN approval.
And Russian Islamists are ruthless as well. Just ask the Georgians and Ukrainians.
I wish I could tell you, but I can't make heads or tails of it. I've been asking myself that same question for awhile now. What's needed is a whistleblower in the national security structure below the principals level who can explain the national interest in toppling Assad. Assuming there is one to be had.
What that assumes, however, is that there is somebody of that caliber in such a position. A non-partisan individual who does not buy into Obama's propaganda. But with the purges in the military and other executive departments I'm sure such individuals are burrowed deep in their holes and they aren't coming out until 2017.
It's hard when dealing with geopolitical issues of strategic significance to try and get past the political/ideological dimension. And that applies to both what comes out of Obama's mouth and what is printed here. It becomes repetitive and non-productive when every story posted is used as nothing but a springboard for how Obama sucks.

When Obama, Hillary and Kerry draw a line in the sand, it is a YELLOW LINE drawn with their cowardly piss.
