Why should people need a license for anything? That’s just MEAN . . . and probably racist or something as well. Time to consign it to the dustbin of history (along with morals and good sense).

They’re fraudulent documents in two ways.

One, the they do not contain the name of the county clerk, as required by KY law.

Two, they contain the names of two people of the same sex.

Which is naturally, physically impossible. Two such individuals cannot possibly marry.

Yeah, altering official documents is highly illegal. But the sodomites get to break laws with impunity.

Kentucky Governor Beshear’s directive to Kentucky County Clerks

Well, that’s interesting...I had not been aware of the existence of the Governor’s directive...so to say, (as I’ve been doing to liberals who show up on my facebook page) that she was under no compulsion to issue licenses absent further instruction from the state is incorrect...

Hmmm...rather a different kettle of fish...

The governor has no more authority than the supreme court to issue directives that are contrary to existing laws. If the governor wants to change a law he must persuade the general assembly to send him a bill that produces the desired result.

The media chooses to overlook the fact that Rowan County's population is 23,000. Let's say half are adults of marriageable age. Based on sampling data for the last 50 years, gay men comprise roughly 2% of the population. Using as an estimate 12,000 men of whom 60% are likely to be already married , one is left with 40% or say 5000 single men. 2% of 5000 or 100 are presumably gay.

If one gay person marries another one the maximum universe for marriages is 50. Spreading those 50 potential marriages over any period, say generously, 5 years would mean that with 200 days of open hours, the county clerk's office would be open for licenses and ceremonies etc., 1000 days or an average of a gay marriage once every 20 days or fewer than 2 a month IF every gay man in Rowan county decided to get married which would be beyond statistical probability....in excess of 10,000,000 to one.

So the left has again demonstrated that the MSM is but a Pravda house organ. (Please note that I was able to get 'but(t)' and 'organ' in the same sentence.)

There is no delegation to the Federal government for their regulation of marriage, the power is reserved to the States.

For the USSC to use the equal protection clause to claim jurisdiction they must first adopt a radical and novel definition of “marriage”

Once the radical and novel definition of “marriage” has been adopted by the USSC they may then make a legitimate claim of an equal protection issue, but not until they have adopted the radical and novel definition of “marriage” is there an equal protection issue.

Not until they have adopted the radical and novel definition of “marriage” may they have the fig leaf of jurisdiction thus paving the way for the subsequent illicit imposition of the radical and novel definition of “marriage”

This circular absurdity is nothing compared to the breathtaking arrogance of declaring what the law of each and all of the States shall be.

By declaring that homosexuals may, in each and every State, marry, they have made themselves a Super-Legislature of ALL the States collectively as a whole - a Branch of Government which does not exist under the U.S. Constitution!

Not only have the made themselves legislators, they have erected a fourth Branch of Government. A fourth Branch of Government which substitutes its legislation for that of each and all of the States.

They have legislated. They have intruded upon the independent sovereignty of the States. They have acted entirely outside the Constitution.

To conceal and “justify” their compound criminality they clothe it with an invented “fundamental right” where there is no such right.

The compound criminality of Kennedy, Ginsburg, Breyer, Sotomayor, and Kagan demands their impeachment.

It’s not just statutes, but the Kentucky Constitution as well

Section 233A

Only a marriage between one man and one woman shall be valid or recognized as a marriage in Kentucky. A legal status identical or substantially similar to that of marriage for unmarried individuals shall not be valid or recognized.

“It’s not just statutes...”

You are exactly right. Beshear would almost certainly find it impossible to change either the KY Constitution or the KY statutes. That’s why he turned to 0bama’s playbook and chose to circumvent the legislature and the KY constitution by issuing an illegal executive order.

But have the proper authorities in Kentucky declared it illegal...? Absent that, it makes no difference does it...?

“But have the proper authorities in Kentucky declared it illegal...?”
___
That’s the troubling, sad part. The “proper authorities” are political animals themselves and they look the other way when unconstitutional/unlawful acts occur with which they agree. The same-sex marriage ruling by the supremes and the subsequent executive order of compliance thereof issued to the county clerks by the governor should have been met with defiance by all 120 clerks. Neither the supremes nor the governor can vacate laws simply by declaring them obsolete. Our elected representatives should step in and correct the unlawfulness that is occurring. But I’ll probably just be left with a handful of shoulds.

At the state and local level KY remains a Conservative Democrat-led state. Even Kim Davis herself is a Democrat.

Those Democrats have no idea what to do, and are running scared ahead of the state-wide elections this November. Their control of the major state-wide offices and Majority in the Legislature is on the line.

The KY Attorney General, who is also the Dem nominee for Governor, is in a deliciously tough place. The rural Conservative voters he needs to win are pressuring him to support Davis. The urban Liberal voters (from Louisville and Lexington) he also needs to win are pressuring him to indict her or appoint a Special Prosecutor to go after her on misconduct charges.

And he’s flailing around badly trying to walk a tightrope between the two.
