He could start with explaining why he supported that Corker-Cardin fiasco to begin with.
He has explained it. The Corker-Cardin bill, which he opposed but voted for at the end, was the only speed bump that would at least slow down the passage of the agreement. If McConnell had actually done his job and required an up or down vote, then the Corker-Cardin bill would have never seen the light of day. But those are just “strong words” again.
Nothing is ever good enough for those who think that a magic wand exists that Cruz or other conservatives don’t just pick up and wave.
