Whenever Donald Trump's outbursts or "exaggerations" are too much for people to stomach, he'll just say he meant something else - or that he's a "showman."
If his history doesn't match up with the persona he wants, he'll just blame it on being a businessman, or that it's a lie, or that someone is out to get him.
Last night on Greta's show:
Greta Van Susteren pointed out that Trump told her in 2012, Hillary Clinton, I think, is a terrific woman ... I really like her and her husband both a lot. I think she really works hard ... I think she really works hard and I think she does a good job. I like her.
Trump explained that at the time it was his obligation as a businessman to get along well with everybody.
Im not going to say bad things about major politicians in this country when Im running a major company where I need things, Trump said. I have international trade, I have international businesses. Im not going to go around saying bad things about people....
Donald Trump didnt mean any harm when he criticized fellow GOP 2016 presidential candidate Carly Fiorinas face. He says he was just being the showman he is.
Many of those comments are made as an entertainer because I did The Apprentice and it was one of the top shows on television, he told Greta Van Susteren on Thursday night. Some comments are made as an entertainer and as everybody said, as an entertainer is a much different ball game.
I really hope you get some sleep at some point.
Your Trump obsession seems almost unhealthy.
Meh, going too far HELPS him.
Godzilla LIKES being electrocuted.
Pull out all the stops!
I love it.
I don’t care about Carly’s face. John Fund is a Wall Street toady.
Ridiculous. It was clear from day one he was a stone cold America hating Marxist, motivated by a racist grudge against white people.
Trump made my mind up for me when he answered a question about faith by saying, “I’ve never felt the need to ask for God’s forgiveness. I forgive myself when I screw up”, or words very much to that effect. Arrogance that blatant has no place in a leadership role as crucial as the Presidency. We have that right now, and it’s not working.
I would think you could give your Trump Derangement Syndrome a rest on a day like today. But no.
Trump hand wringing bump.
Did you divorce Cincinatus and marry NickCarraway?
Thanks for keeping the facts and record straight about this fraud. He is to conservatism what Obama is to patriotism.
Except that the S&P 500 index is not just some unmanaged natural phenomenon, it's the accumulated performance of top businessmen like Trump. The Donald just happens to be the one industry leader with high enough profile, charisma, and inclination to take on being POTUS; the others are largely capable of the job as well, they just don't want to.
It's amazing that John "I got my old girlfriend's daughter pregnant" Fund was able to write the phrase going too far without flinching.
Regan had the presence to make the same threat clear without enunciating it; that doesn't mean he didn't get the same message across. Note use of the word "likely" above: there's an option c) the Iranians will release the hostages, knowing that Trump is crazy & patriotic enough to follow thru on his threat. The problem is that all other candidates (R and D) will op for option d) leave the hostages to rot.
There’s never been a bigger “showboat” than Barack Obama. I haven’t seenTrump using any styrofoam Greek columns or rent-a-mobs in his appearances, not to mention a TelePrompTer.
I see that comment as arefreshing bit of open honesty and realization that he, like everyone has faults. Shows a maturity and healthy self-awareness.
Rather than attack Trump and/or others, it might be more useful to exhort Walker to roll up his sleeves, put on the brass knuckles and wage a war to show he really wants to fight for the position. He started out as my second choice behind Cruz and is now in third place on my slate behind Cruz, then Trump - neither of whom are afraid to get down in the dirt where the enemy lives.
GO CRUZ!!! Keep it up Trump!! Start to fight Walker!
You can research Trump, it is all in the open and he is a real person.Nothing to hide.
Thank you for posting these articles. It’s stunning to see his supporters rationalize everything he does.
The vast majority will read this non-issue forced headline and ask ‘what’s this all about?’.
Then they will read something about Trump referring to Fiorina’s face as no face for a President and then they will look at Fiorina’s face in a picture and they will nod in agreement. And the media will try to blow it up as some grand faux-pas, some great misstep on Trump’s part. And the electorate will yawn.
In other news, the US Senate just gave Obama’s deal with Iran the green light. Oh, bu that’s not news you see. What’s news is someone calling Fiorina ugly, even though she is.
National Review a defacto arm of the GOPe. :-)
Does anyone remember reading 1/10,000th as much negative reactions to Barack Obama running for president?
Trump isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but seriously folks, this is an eye-opening moment.
Look at the collective against Trump.
That alone should scare the —— out of anyone not thinking of voting for him.
Be on their side, that side...
If I hadn’t planned on voting for him prior to this, I would be after this.
If Trump doesn’t win FL, Bush will get the nomination. Is that what you’d prefer?
