Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is skipping a Family Research Council summit in Washington this month, a year after he failed to gain an invitation.
A representative for the Family Research Council said Bush declined the group's offer to speak at the Values Voter Summit.
Bush had been listed on the summit's website as an invited, but not confirmed, speaker. His removal from list of invited speakers was first noted by People for the American Way, a outside progressive group.
Some of his 2016 competitors, including Sens. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Ted Cruz (R-Texas), have also been invited to speak.

Why should he attend. It’s for conservatives, so there’s no reason for Bush to attend.
Jeb, Rick Perry’s afterglow party is waiting for you to show up...
A Gomer Pyle quote is likely to occur here..
Even joyful ones.
was thinking the same thing.
that’s like Clinton not attending
They don’t allow speeches in Spanish.
Trump will not be there either.
I don’t see how these guys keep the steady pace of a campaign. Were it me, I would need to take at minimum two full months off the campaign trail, catch up on sleep and regular meals. No more fried pork chops on popsicle sticks everytime I turn around.
I do not think he would have felt very welcome, anyway.
There certainly are no longer any conservative Democrats.
And Democrats are Bush’s voter base for the primaries.
Well, it makes sense, because it’s supposed to be for conservatives.
How apropos
I’ve known a few ultra-type A guys like Trump.
They can go pretty much forever on 3 or 4 hours sleep per night.
It’s really amazing.
Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooolee....
...who will address the attendees on behalf of Conservatism Andy?
Well, ya see here. Ya gots your tight fisted Conservatives, and you’ve got yer caring Democrats. That’s why we have Obamacare! He cares! Everyone knows how evil the Conservatives are.
Bush doesn’t need to tell ‘em again.
Someone said today that Trump is just not conservative. LOL
Truth is, non of the GOP is anymore.
For the last 10 years, conservatism and conservative ideas were poo poohed by the GOP. They were into moderates.
Flash to now. Trump enters this race and by golly, being conservative and passing the GOP conservative purity exam is the reason we can’t vote for Trump. You see Linda, Jeb McCain, Romney, folks like that are all conservative as hell and lily white. *gag* /sarc
LOLOL I refuse to buy it.
I echo your thought. Bush did not WANT to be seen there. either Bush.
That says a lot.
