In British parlance, to “table an issue” means that you are going to put it on the table and talk about it (unlike our usage which means you are going to take it out of your hands, put it on the table, and stop talking about it).
Hasn’t assisted dying been brought up in some state legislatures here in the US?
They don’t need an assisted dying Law. They already have the Liverpool Care Pathway, where the doctors decide if you have lived long enough. Anyone wanting to die probably could just tell their Dr they are ready and, voila! Liverpool Care Pathway kicks in.
