Not black, so you won't hear about it from the MSM and badge worshippers don't have to try to defame Mr. Sanchez.

In his own garage across the street with one of those cell phones that look SOOO much like a gun. This is the definition of "trigger happy". And nothing will become of it.

” Sanchez’s home was also searched.”

Jeezus. Did they shoot his dog, too?

agreed. Charge the police with assault and attempted murder. Likely can’t convict, but get them fired maybe, bankrupt the city to make a point. Police are too trigger happy and someone needs to reign them in.

Those high capacity assault phones are just too dangerous. We need stricter laws on those.

A man who held a cellphone out of his garage door to see what was happening during a police standoff . . .

Maybe they were afraid he was taking a video of what they were doing.

It could have been any citizen walking into the situation, since the cops feel they are above the citizens, they were not shooting at “one of their own”, so this will be considered a good shooting. My point here is things will only get worse when the cops don’t consider the public “one of their own” and by the same token normal citizens should consider cops “one of their own” since they too are just regular citizens, hired to do a job.

One of the four basic rules of gun safety is, Be sure of your target. Breaking one of the four rules is indisputable evidence of negligence These officers should be glad they don’t work for me or for a sheriff in any county where the voters know about proper gun safety. They would be fired, or the sheriff would.

So if they are not negligent, or grossly negligent, then they knew it was a cell phone and shot the man because of it.

Their jobs are safe in California, though.

There was a standoff next door.

The man pulled out a cellphone and began to FILM.

The cops then shot the man filming.

Cops do NOT like people generating evidence that could later interfere with their made-up stories.

Cops see two types of citizens; those they’ve already arrested and those they will later arrest.

EXCUSE COMPENDIUM - Have any more for my growing list?

We have a tough, dangerous job.
Our brother cop did not get up that morning with the goal of becoming involved in an officer-involved shooting.
The dog needn’t be large to have a lethal bite —good shoot.
If you’re REALLY not up to no good you won’t mind me taking a look, right?
What, are you a hippy..?
Still mad about that ticket, 10 years ago..?
We’re just doing our jobs.
Police SOP’s are well-established —the police violated the rights of no one.
The key thing is for us to go home safely at the end of the shift.
Next time you have an emergency, just call the ACLU.
We have to make split second decisions —you’re being unfair.
Don’t paint us all with the same broad brush.
I don’t think you understand just how highly we are trained.
We’re the thin blue line, what, ya want anarchy..?
The investigation showed the police followed department procedure.
You must just be a cop hater.
Ever been a cop? Then you’re unqualified to judge us —walk a mile in our moccasins.
It’s cops vs. the bad guys, and if you’re not for us, you’re AGAINST us.
You’re asking about something that’s the subject of an ongoing investigation —no comment.
We can’t comment on topics of ongoing investigations.

That looks like a new vehicle the cops shot up. I’d be very ticked.

“But on Friday Ramos said Sanchez is not facing any criminal charges.”

Just unbelievable! So this is how they try to cover up attempted murder. Tell the innocent homeowner whom they have just tried to kill that they are just lucky that they are not being charged! Charged with what? I hope these folks sue the a$$ off of the Sacto Sheriff's Office.

Machine gun? Clips?

I highly doubt it was a “machine gun”. Probably not even full auto.

Idiot cops.

This didn’t get enough attention. If half of this is true, this guy has blood on his hands.

Not only does he teach them to be ... uh ... aggressive with firearms. He then is the “expert” they use to testify that they were only following their training after they do something horrible.

I wonder how many honest cops, grand juries, and prosecutors have been corrupted because they trusted this lunatic.

i think this is what’s referred to in police circles as... a target of opportunity.

whenever cops get a chance to unholster their weapons and shoot something other than the family cocker spaniel, pray to God you’re not downrange.

This is the definition of "trigger happy".

In the old days, a cop would warn bystanders "Nothing to see here...".

Nowadays, the message is "You are not allowed to see what we do.", followed by "Bang bang bang....", "Well, you won't face charges...". No apologies by the cops.

This is enough. If they don’t like being filmed, try to pass a constitutional law making it illegal. So far, the courts have said citizens have the people have the right of free speech to film gov. employees as they do their jobs.

All this bullying from crooked cops needs a prison sentence attached to it. It’s the only way to stop the police bullies acting out among the honorable police officers who are committed to the public and our constitutional rights. These are the police officers who don’t care about videos because they are people who do the right thing.
