Well I love the Scots, the Highlands have a lovely brogue, ‘um unlike the East End of Glasgow where even the rest of Glaswegians can’t understand a thing they’re talking about.

You mean your Dad brought football to a few communities on Long Island in the 1950s.

Football darling, now DON’T be arguing with me! ;)

Well, I did put an exclamation point between brackets after the word ‘soccer’ - - - meaning I knew I was using the ‘wrong’ word - !

Further, 3 of our 5 granddaughters play soccer and are VERY good.
Only 1 of our 6 grandsons played soccer, briefly, years ago. Then switched to basketball.

Oh - I thought the Scottish accent is called a ‘burr,’ while the Irish accent is called a ‘brogue.’

I have my father’s soccer cleats, and one of his shirts. Pretty
cool - !
