There is a “better than likely chance” that GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin when he comes to the United Nations later this month, a chief political adviser said Thursday.
The Russian president is scheduled to attend the 70th General Assembly of the United Nations in New York on Sept. 27.
“There’s a better than likely chance Trump may even meet with Putin when he comes here for the United Nations,” Michael Cohen, who is also executive vice president of the Trump Organization, said Thursday on Sean Hannity’s radio show, as highlighted by Buzzfeed News. “People want to meet Donald Trump, they want to know Donald Trump,” Cohen added, declining to say whether his boss would meet with Pope Francis during the pontiff’s U.S. tour.
“That, I don’t know. It’s not on my calendar,” he said.

For better or worse, Putin is probably willing to play the game. Obama and Putin don’t like each other at all, as evidenced by photographs of them together. It is amazing.

And this is good why? When Obama said he would meet with America's enemies he was lambasted here, yet Trumpsters suddenly find it a good thing?
Putin is following his plan to rebuild the Russian empire. Some meeting with Trump is not going to change that. The idea that Trump has that he is going to get along with Putin is nonsense. By being tough Trump might earn his respect and deter Putin, but if Trump thinks the two are going to be buddies he is as sadly mistaken as Bush and Obama.
Trump is not going to sell us out, or see if he glimpse Putin’s “soul”.

What’s significant is Putin agreeing to meet Trump.
How do you know what Trump will do? He’s been all over the political map over the years. What does “sell us out” mean exactly? I am not fine with any president selling Ukraine out as they try to get out from under the boot of the Russian bear, but maybe Trump thinks if he gives Putin the eastern half of Ukraine he can be buddies with him (which opens a whole new set of incentives for Putin to grab up more territory)? I mean, I seriously doubt Trump knows anything much about these issues. Not saying he can’t learn, but with a track record that is liberal one year, conservative the next and currently some kind of mixed bag with the kind of protectionism thrown in that would make the big labor unions smile, how can you clear up anything?

The man loves America and has some tremendous SPECIFIC ideas about how to solve our problems. And these are HIS ideas not from a handler or focus group.

Trump might meet with Putin—The Russian leader would do it to shaft Obama. Wouldn’t it be good if the two of them solved some of the worlds problems?
