I agree with what you say. There are times, however, when something just bombs. If even your target audience does not understand what you said, then by all means feel free. There will, however, be a response.
Trump has been understood by his target audience. Ann was not, except for a few close friends like Drudge.

I truly think Coulter’s “f—ing Jews” was a riff on the exact comment made long ago by Hillary Clinton. Unfortunately, few people understood the connection and her tweet has now seriously bit her in the ass.
Her hardline support of Romey in 2012 betrays your statement. Remember, Coulter’s entire shtick is similar to Stephen Colbert’s, but she has Andy Kaufman levels of commitment to her little “joke”.
