Welcome to the wonderful world of journalism that I have worked at least part time and at times full time since 1972. Ive seen a lot and what FNC did and is doing is all very explainable.The problem is we expect more and seldom get it.
It pays to have a gold standard.Someone we can point to and say there is Sharyl Atkisson! Why can't you fools emulate her.Why can't she be the standard instead of Meghan Kelly who spends more time on which black dress she will wear rather than doing a little research which she obviously allows her staff to do and they do it poorly. Any anchor who cant tell a real birth certificate from a phony one or worse yet is not even up on the scandal does not deserve a big audience.
As for Britt Hume he's been at it too long and his take has less value every year.Truth is Hume has never been the same since the untimely death of his son. Tragedies such as this effect us all differently.In Britt's case and this is just a wild opinion, he became a bitter old guy with little to live for.
As for the brain trust Charles Krauthammer he can't or won't adjust to the imperfect. Trump is anything but perfect but the people have and are speaking.
They are sick and tired of those who would sell out the nation for a few more pieces of gold such as what is going on with Iran.

Fox is like an old boyfriend who’s changed a little but you still love him because of what he was.
I suggest Fox and Friends. When I was on the Mainland, I set my recorder to tape it every morning. Nice and reliably conservative hosts and you got all the news.
I don’t really like their speciality shows like The Five and That One Guy thing. I can’t stand Geraldo or Juan but they’ve always been there but they just seem more irritating now.
I agree with you about Brit Hume. I used to adore him to the point of worship. The one sterling, sane voice.
It was obvious during the last primary that he was embittered about his son... He let it be known through his hatred of Newt. I don’t remember all the details but Newt had said or done something that Brit thought hurt his son.
And, by the way, his son was dear and adorable. He used to be on TV some. You don’t get over that.
