Retired Army Gen. David Petraeus apologized to Congress on Tuesday for sharing classified information with his biographer and mistress, Paula Broadwell. It was his first public testimony before lawmakers since resigning as CIA director.
Petraeus appeared before the Senate Armed Services Committee, offering his recommendations for how the U.S. should address what he called a “revolutionary upheaval that is unparalleled in its modern history.”
He said the progress achieved so far in fighting Islamic State militants in Iraq has been “inadequate” and suggested the U.S. increase support to Iraqi security forces and Sunni tribal and Kurdish fighters. In Syria, he recommended the U.S. take a harder stance against President Bashar Assad. He supported setting up enclaves protected by coalition airpower where moderate Sunnis could be supported, civilians could find refuge and additional forces could be trained. …

He’s a globalist. A one world government type. He rubs elbows with the other members of the CFR and such. His job was to know what was going on over there, and just because he no longer works for the agency on paper doesn’t mean he isn’t still a part of that larger community. How he exactly gets his Intel? You’d have to be someone in a position of power above him to keep tabs on something like that, or have lots of money and connections with a desire to have that info, but I repeat myself.
So he wants to be a general in the 200 million man army from east of the Euphrates that murders 1/3 of the human race. I get it.
Amen. Including using an unsecured e-mail server that was being monitored by the Islamic radicals who knew that Ambassador Stevens would be be at the embassy in Benghazi! For that she deserves life in a Federal pen at least! She is totally responsible for the deaths of those men there. She was irresponsible in not using secure communication! What a disaster she is.
