For now, California is a lost cause, unlikely to rejoin the rest of the United States for decades yet, until somebody has the cojones to call a stop to the political correctness that has turned that once prosperous and booming testament to hard work and diligent application of ingenuity and skills to a wide range of problems.
California could easily enough be self-sufficient in energy production and most manufacturing, as well as a net exporter of a broad range of agricultural goods and excellent banking services, not the crony capitalist sort of mutual backscratching that goes on between overpaid flimflam artists and outright thieves. But something called the “Clean Air Resources Board” has managed to choke off most of the local initiative of innovative designing and economic incentives, turning major parts of the cities into third-world slums, and what was once the best developed academic systems of all the US into a daily combat zone, turning out the most unprepared and ignorant bunch of trash pickers this side of Bangladesh.
I once posted that Boxer is so dumb, that the only way she got through college was to sleep with every college professor she had......male or female.

I’m always interested when the inherent rivalry between politicians escalates into settled and personal animosity. They are a rather nasty and amoral set of people in general anyway. To care enough to make it personal, especially for the victor, indicates an interesting story in the background.
Fiorina had personal attacks against her. I really don’t like Fiorina either.
