Climate change, gay celebration, and reparations in succession in that speech. This is a pope?

Search for Jesus Christ in the the remarks and you get no results.

may I ask you what church you went to? I refuse to support a church and its leftist leader who doesn’t say a word about of the butchering of children.

Would Jesus have shaken the hand of such a blatant and unrepentant murderer as Obama?

Since he’s become Pope, I have several times in Confession had to admit about speaking badly of him. In the Catholic Church, that’s a sin.
But I have to be honest. I’m not sure that I’m gonna mention speaking badly about the Pope the next time I go to Confession.

Not arguing with your choice. I can understand it.
soetoro didn't force me to give up on the Constitution, this "Pope" won't force me to give up on the Church.

If the pope guy doesn’t denounce gay marriage and abortion publicly at the White House, he is just another mouthpiece of the left.

Personally, I think Jesus would have taken a whip to Obama.

"Mr. President, I find it encouraging that you are proposing an initiative for reducing air pollution. ..." Yes, government leaders, particularly state government leaders in the USA, need to show some leadership with respect to protecting the environment.
But since this is the Pope speaking, what happened to the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19?
Matthew 16:23 comes to mind with this Pope.

We’re jumping to The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

Not in public, no. That would be an endorsement. In private, perhaps, if it could help reach him. He would never have gone swimming in the pig sty with Obama, however.

I miss the days when Mother Theresa wouldn’t sit at the same table as Bill Clinton. As someone with so much influence not to mention our countries slaughter of the pre-born is very sad indeed.

Excellent statement. When we have a bad president, we don’t run off to Europe or somewhere else. And when we have a lousy pope, we shouldn’t run away from the church. I’m not doing that and I’m embarrassed by such weak Catholics.

I got to thinking more about what you said on post #8. Now I'm not speaking for my wife. She's a Cradle Catholic. But I was raised a Jehovah's Witness. I left that religion when I was 18 (36 years ago). And even though I don't believe the doctrine of that religion I still can find some good things to say about them. I'll defend them to a limited extent, especially if I see someone say something about them that I know to be false.
When I converted to Catholicism I really did it for the wrong reasons. My wife was Catholic, but was open to other faiths. I revered Pope John Paul, and still do. So it was a matter of convenience plus a reflection of my feelings about John Paul that put me through RCIA.
We need a more conservative religious faith, doctrinally and practically conservative. But I will do with the Catholics as I've done with the JW's. Speak well of them when I can and defend them against the misinformed or just plain stupid.

Sorry to hear you and your wife are leaving Catholicism for the MS Lutheran Church. I was MS Lutheran for my first 33 years of life, then converted to Catholicism, receiving First Communion on my wedding day in 1984, and I've never looked back.
The reason I converted was to receive the Sacraments, the Most Holy Eucharist [so I could partake in "
His strength and His power" too], not just because I was marrying a Catholic.
