We lived in Richmond, VA from 1957-60. My mom worked for a vending company that supplied theaters with candy and popcorn. They popped it at the plant, and put it is BIGGGGG paper bags. We had one each week, for four kids. It came home with her on Thursdays, and was usually gone by Saturday morning.
That bag in the pic is about a third the size of what we got!!!!!
