According to the experts, any day now a civil war will break out in California.
Its simple deductive reasoning. Droughts cause civil wars and California is having one doozy of a drought. Ergo, there will be a civil war in California.
Thats what former Maryland governor and Democratic presidential candidate Martin OMalley claims. Well, not about California (just yet), but about Syria: One of the things that preceded the failure of the nation-state of Syria and the rise of ISIS was the effect of climate change and the mega-drought that affected that region, wiped out farmers, drove people to cities, created a humanitarian crisis.
OMalley further explained, So these are the cascading effects that happen in a world thats very, very connected and in a world where climate change is now creating extreme weather conditions, prolonged droughts.

I doubt if this idiot ever flew across the region
Most of it is DESERT
The Arabs by tradition are desert nomads
I’m fairly certain that he is sooooooo busy running his (p)residential bid that if he needs to know, he has peeps that will do the flyover for him. :>}
Doesn’t have anything to do with Islam.../s
So, it’s either gwbush is responsible for islam issues or the drought. I kinda thought the Bedouins lived in drought conditions for their entire lives. Ergo, it’s gotta be gwbush who’s behind the drought. Or something. See how confused I’m getting? LOL!
Much to do about nothing.
We all know that rising sea levels will soon put California at the bottom of the Pacific and drought will no longer be an issue.

Ahhhhh, California....a great place to park a few hundred-thousand of those Syrian refugees. After all, they’re used to desert conditions, and California IS the Mecca of diversity.
FYI. Here in Yakima, WA we’ve just entered another phase of climate change. It’s called Fall. The leaves are changing color. I wonder if that is a harbinger of things to come?
Ha ha! I noticed the ducks and geese are flocking up around Minnesota, as if they’re sensing a reason to leave the area. Animals can sense a global disaster earlier than man, I’m told. Lol!
OMG! I just looked out back and it appears that our little aspen trees are losing their greenish looking leaves! They seem to be turning yellow or something. We’re all doomed!
What a slick, forked tongue...unreal distortion of reality in Syria and the middle east.
This guy is a practiced sneaky liar, but he is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. He can weave in left wing slogans/lies, like a demon. Uninformed people are tricked by such nonsense.
In the 1930’s, there was a period of severe drought that lasted almost ten years. Too bad, we didn’t have people like Al Gore, Pope Francis, and The One back then. They could have fixed things so that we’d never have drought again.
BUSH’S FAULT!
“the rise of ISIS was the effect of climate change and the mega-drought that affected that region, wiped out farmers, drove people to cities, created a humanitarian crisis”
I cannot remember the last time I saw anything except bombs and “man-made disasters” grown or made by muzzies. All those desert “farmers” must have been camel spider shepherds.
Such phenomenal ignorance. We are so screwed.
Sadly, you are pretty much correct. How long would it take to ferret out all the lyin’ king and slick willie appointees? Not thinkin’ I’ll be around that long.
Oh, I forgot the most important line in the whole POS article:
“According to the experts”...... More like ex-spurts.
This year, like a number of recent years, we were deluged with large amounts of rain...i..e thunderstorms in Utah and Arizona. If global warming is causing droughts, why have we encountered so much rain in desert areas in our recent trips? We're beginning to think we should hire ourselves as rainmakers.
Wasn’t O’Malley the guy who said that global warming is natural?
