Recently, Phillip Rucker of the Washington Post asked readers if Republicans and Democrats are talking about the same country, and proceeded to provide evidence that they may not be.
This is, of course, a wildly asinine question to ask. The fact that it is even being posed as relevant inquiry signifies both the rudimentary nature of current political discourse in mainstream venues and the disrespect that mainstream pundits have for American audiences’ intellect.
Have Rucker and the other tuned-in media pundits asking such lofty questions just not been listening or paying attention, or do they assume that we haven’t been doing so? Barack Obama answered his question just days before his election back in 2008: “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” His wife Michelle was even more forthright. “We are going to have to change our conversation,” she said. “[W]e’re going to have to change our traditions, our history; we’re going to have to move into a different place as a nation.”
Not sure how the clever pundits could miss this, but when you have one faction outwardly professing a desire to transform our nation into something entirely new, while another faction outwardly professes to either retain our identity, or return our identity to something it was once before, the simple answer to Rucker’s question is: No. Republicans and Democrats are not currently talking about the same nation, and the paths sought by each have very little in common....

I can feel the tension in the air.
When all the money finally runs out then the left will be forced to grow up. We’ll be the “parents” at that point.
Until then we can expect them to be whining, snot-nose babies as usual.
Republicans -- generally speaking, and especially when compelled by conservatives to do so -- seek to preserve the integrity of the Constitution by maintaining its fixed restrictions upon federal power. Because if the integrity of this fundamental principle of the republic is not observed, the republic will cease to be the republic our Founders created.
Allow Thomas Jefferson to explain:
I consider the foundation of the Constitution as laid on this ground: That “all powers not delegated to the United States, by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States of the People.” To take a single step beyond the boundaries thus specifically drawn around Congress is to take possession of a boundless field of power, no longer susceptible of any definition.
You can't say it any planer then that..!

To take our country off a cliff, one side quickly and one side slowly.
That is one statement most of the liberal media has resolutely ignored. Did liberals actually realize the import of that statement and the person who would say something like that? I doubt it.
King Barack was basically saying that before his election, the U.S. was an awful country. How else could anybody interpret a statement like that?
I am so glad that this guy mentioned Trump’s support from outside the GOP base. I don’t think that even Ben Carson could get 25% of the black vote (I hope that I’m wrong on that). But there is no way that Jeb would.

That statement hit me so hard I literally fell on the sofa. After the crazy campaign, the economy, tarp...It seemed as though it was simply the last straw.
I despised John McCain from that day forward.
Actually it’s very simple, the normal, real Americans who generally live the rural areas, and the RAT-filth, generally found in cities.
Country vs city.
We need a divorce. There is nothing that is going to shift that sucubus liberal attitude. It is only going to get worse.
They should join with Canada.
Currently the entire power structure is working as fast as possible to flood the country with as many foreigners as they can convince to invade.
One man spoke out against it in a way that reflected the burning rage of the Americans. He is winning by a landslide.

Won’t happen. They will just blame us for the money running out and for not voting for more federal government power.
I thought they would go into hiding after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Didn’t happen. Won’t happen after the collapse of the money to pay for their schemes in America.
A few have mentioned the vacations they took in the past, and the difficulty they now have paying their bills; they are a sad lot. All of the Obama pictures put up after the election came down within a few months, as realization hit that he wasn’t going to buy their gasoline, pay their rent, etc.
McCain handed him the election by refusing to fight; it was too easy to frame him as a third term for W. Sarah Palin shouldn’t have dashed her reputation teaming up with him.
His POS wookie said as much when it said it had never been proud of this country before...
