Trump is simple ego-centric douche who is sucking the oxygen out of Ted Cruz's campaign. I can hardly wait to watch him put one of his many feet in his mouth again.

Okay, I like his tax reduction proposal, but what's up with 50% of the Country not paying taxes? Not fair. They owe an obligation to the legitimate welfare of this country like all.

What to do about it? There’s the other side of the ledger. Tighten up the welfare rolls to motivate them to pay there own way. The earn their own buck they keep their own buck.

Seriously? Just go away, then.

You come on a Trump thread to completely trash him, then praise his Tax Plan. Your comment about Trump/Cruz sounds pathetically desperate, at best.

I agree about having skin in the game but you have to remember that this will also give boost to the economy.

The people who will not be paying income tax will be spending that money instead of it going to the government.

Ted’s done. Hate to tell ya. Trump is in fact the new type of candidate that will be needed to do battle in the 21st century. The Twitter numbers alone tell you a lot.

Without Trump, Cruz has exactly zero chance of ever winning the GOP nomination; just how many iterations of the nomination of RINO losers will it take to convince you of that? Before Trump entered the race, the fix was in, Jeb Bush was to be the nominee, Cruz et all, were merely the tools to be used to get Jeb to the top. Now with Trump in the race, it is no longer such a sure thing. You should not be wanting to punch Trump, you should get down on your knees and pray that he wins this, because if he does the GOP elites who are owned by the crony capitalists will no longer have a choke-hold on this party, there can be honest elections in the future with Cruz, Walker, and a lot of other great people beloved by the base having a good chance of winning presidential nominations and the White House. Without Trump, we face the bleak future of either a Hillary or Jeb presidency, and the likes of Lindsey Graham next time around. Please stop wishing things were the way you wish they were, and take a long hard look at the real world. Trump is our Hail Mary.

Anyone believing himself able or deserving to run USA requires huge ego. As on every other subject, Trump is merely more frank about it than the rest.

Looks lets be honest I love Ted Cruz but he was not polling well before Trump even got in it. If it was not for Trump Jeb Bush would be way in the lead and Cruz would still not be polling that well.

Ted Cruz is an extremely smart and extremely ambitious guy. He knows he’s not likely to get the nomination so he semi hitched his wagon to Trump’s star and no matter what happens Ted will land up in a really good spot.

Poor Ted Cruz, seems he isn't getting much money either. Tomorrow is the last day of the quarter and he hasn't raised enough.

If Trump wasn’t in the game, Cruz would be doing only a bit better than now; instead the GOPe would have been completely in control and their pre-planned strategy to get Yeb nominated would have worked, just like it did for McStain and Romney.

Conservatives should get down on our knees and thank the good lord for Donald Trump. Does anyone seriously believe we would even be talking about illegal immigration if Trump wasn’t forcing the Pubs out of their comfort zone of dodging all issues of importance, lying to the voters to get elected, and then stabbing us in the back?

No, what would have happened is El Jebbo would have gotten the nomination because the kommie media would laud him for his wonderfulness in promoting “diversity”, the beauties of multi-lingualness, and his trashing U.S. history and culture, instead promoting a 3rd world culture that pretty much has given the world little more than cocoa and tacos.

And then of course, the kommie media would turn on El Jebbo, trashing him as an “extremist” fascist like they did McCain and Romney, and Hillary would win in a landslide as legions of disgusted Pubs finally refused to play the BS “lesser of two evils” game.

You have noticed that Cruz and Trump are not attacking each other? At least with Trump, Cruz will have a good shot on making it on the ticket, put in charge of a major cabinet or appointed to the Supreme Court. And if Cruz does make it onto a winning ticket as VP, he’ll be in a MUCH better position to actually win the Presidency some day. After all, Cruz is quite a young guy.

That 50% of the country is already paying payroll, sales, state, excise, gas, property taxes, etc.

As it is, we’re subsidizing them with EITC and other government goodies from housing assistance to student loans. Far better to take away any further (beyond payroll) tax on working and lower or eliminate subsidies elsewhere.

Yeah, a flat tax might be ideal, but even flat tax advocates seem to include large personal exemptions, at least—and they’re nowhere near actually getting their plans enacted.

Trump IMO is far more electable, and 80-90% of Trump’s tax plan could actually get passed and enacted.
