The "moderate Syrian opposition" is mostly a myth created by the Obama administration and by John McCain. Not all of the anti-Assad fighters are ISIS by any means, you have other Sunni militias like the Al Quaeda-affiliated Al Nusra front etc, but they're not exactly the democratic, western style moderates that we keep hearing about.
