Vladimir Putin has conscripted 150,000 new troops into the Russian army as the country unleashed a new wave of airstrikes in Syria - while and Iran and Islamist group Hezbollah prepare for a major ground offensive.
Hundreds of Iranian troops have arrived in Syria over the last ten days, backed by the country's Lebanese allies, Hezbollah, and rebel fighters from Iraq and Afghanistan, two Lebanese sources claimed today.
One of the sources said the Iranian ground forces were 'soldiers and officers', not advisers, adding: 'We mean hundreds with equipment and weapons. They will be followed by more.'
They are being supported by Russia's warplanes who bombed camps of rebel fighters trained by the CIA, one of the group's commanders claimed.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Russia's airstrikes in Syria were 'indiscriminate' and risked prolonging the conflict 'indefinitely'.
He claimed Russia's 'random' strikes on Syria's enemies would draw the country deeper into the conflict.

Should we send more money or enriched Uranium what?
I wonder if Syria will prove to be as big a tar baby for Russia and its troops as Afghanistan was?
Putin suddenly trains fifteen new divisions, while Obama is ordering the Army to “make it so” for lady Rangers.
I think that about a hundred years ago, when this also happened during a time of tension, it was reported as “Russia mobilizes”. How’d that turn out; anybody remember?
Drafting 150,000. That tells me he’s in it for the long haul.
Personally I look at everyone who voted for Obama as the enemy.
This lends credence to the assertions that the US does not want to destroy ISIS.

None of that means anything when the profits from those endeavors go untaxed because they’ve exited the country or are in the hands of the Mafiosos that Vladimir needs to retain power.
69% of Russians polled against Russian military involvement in Syria. That’s probably about as much as Americans having no confidence in our leadership.
Let’s just wait out Barry’s last year, doing damage control until we can send him on his way and then grownups can work it out.
In the meantime it looks like a lot of murderous maniacs who believe dying gets them into Paradise are getting their wish, and that can’t be a bad thing. It’s too bad a lot of normal people are suffering while they get what they want.
