There won’t be a lot of folks that want to volunteer for the “door to door” confiscation after a couple of ambushes occur. And they will.

Get enough talk about outright bans, and “reasonable” compromises of more controls will appear more acceptable.

Yep...they go on about “the law is the law” when it suits them but they also want to ignore the Constitution on issues they don’t agree with.

...why is it so hard to understand? You can ban guns...once you’ve changed the Constitution by the official process. Until then, you can’t.

They also don’t put two-and-two together, these mass shootings are almost exclusively always in “gun free zones” but that doesn’t even enter the discussion of “why do they happen?”. It’s the gorilla in the room. Why don’t they happen at Police stations?

Why Not a Gun Ban Like in Australia?

Well, for one thing, this is not as yet a civilized world, and if a people ever become too “civilized” to do what’s necessary to survive in an uncivilized world, they won’t survive, for they don’t deserve to survive, as survival of the fittest is still being contested here on the third planet.

The most hilarious aspect about silly little Mika is she really, really takes herself seriously.

Reasons America’s enemies cannot make Mika’s dream come true:

1. The Constitution says that our God-given individual human right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

2. Unless the fascist far left is willing to fight a civil war in order to disarm decent Americans, they are not willing to do what it takes to implement this totalitarian goal. Talking about it is great for gun sales but does not accomplish anything other than ensuring that decent people are even better armed.

The Australian experience speaks for itself. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Here's hoping that situation is being reversed right now, and next year's stats will show improvement: I was listening to John Lott on Levin the other night, and Lott was saying that Ozzies were now allowed to buy guns again (no doubt registered all to heck) and that millions have done so. If I'm recalling all this correctly, the number of weapons in private hands is almost what it was pre-ban.

Let's watch and pray for Oz and America.

“Such a gun law would be thrown out by the courts.”

Replace Scalia, Thomas, and Kennedy with three justices in the mold of Kagen, Sotomayor, Bryer, and Ginsberg. They will reinterpret the 2nd Amendment to mean it pertains only to members of the National Guard (militia).

Well Mika, if you want to drastically ramp up the odds of you being murdered, robbed or raped, sure: GO FOR IT

Excellent point. Someone should mention the crimes PREVENTED because somebody had a gun. Someone should also estimate the lives lost because someone DIDN'T have a firearm.

Some people are too stupid to be free. Mika falls into that category. And is it just me, or is she looking more masculine than Li’l Joey these days?

The ‘answer’ to what?

Why do so many suckers believe in the deus ex machina of government?

Have gun banners ever visited the DMV, the county tax office, or dealt with the IRS? Have they flown and watched the TSA fumbling and bumbling around? Do they drive on roads and bridges crumbling away despite billions collected in fuel taxes?

What ‘answers’ has government provided except in rare cases like WWII and the moon shots that were more a product of individual and group effort as opposed to DC’s chess game?

Why do gun banners think that despite all the nasty, slow-moving, ineffective bureaucrats they’ve encountered that there is a secret location where the smart, loving, compassionate, efficient and fair bureaucrats work? Why do gun banners think the secret nice bureaucrats will be in charge of gun control and not the usual paper pushers?

And, as always, why do gun banners think that a street thug with an 8th grade education or a madman with a college degree will pay one whit of attention to the ‘answer?’

Interesting how we live in parallel universes. What we take away from it all:

Christians were targeted; only one fought back and it was an epic free zone failure!

We still have the sticky, troublesome Second Amendment, of which there is no similar provision in the Australian constitution.

Personally, I believe that “gun-free zones”, of which Australia is now one HUGE example, should be outlawed everywhere, and the youth of our country should be given training, as part of the high school curriculum, in the care, use, feeding, and grooming of sidearms, and sufficient time in range training to qualify as “Marksman”, before being given the right to register and vote.

Part of “citizenship”, doncha know.

I don’t care where you’re from Nully, banning Mika can only be a net positive.
