If Patrick Kennedy wants to do a “Fourth Step” which is what the headline says and work the other 11 steps, live a sane and sober life, clear up the wreckage of his past and so on, more power to him.

Patrick Kennedy’s book is essentially Step 4 of the 12 steps, in that he made a searching and fearless moral inventory of himself. We all should be so lucky.

Well, I'm that lucky. There's nothing stopping the reporter from trying it.
