Concerning Trudeau’s numbers, once you take out the 416/905 area (Toronto) and the Maritimes (Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island), his numbers drop a great deal. These are the only areas where he does well in, even though he will also do well here in Ottawa due to the disgruntled civil servant vote against Harper.
In reality also, if he were elected to the premiership, I and many others here see him barely getting out of the starting gate without being a very serious disappointment to many who expect a lot of him due to his heritage and the promises he’s made to people.
To my dismay and disappointment, I just learned that my once conservative son is voting for the Liberals this time around. I am certainly NOT going to remind him to vote on October 19th!
I pray we keep the adults in charge.
Frankly Justin looks good like Stephen Harper did when he was younger. Mulcair’s facial hair is probably a turnoff in the ‘beauty contest’.
It was no coincidence we heard the female used in the media campaign in July telling us Justin ‘wasn’t ready’ for the job. I heard it as I vacationed in Ontario and it was obviously a deep, wide, sustained and apparently effective campaign that knocked the Liberals numbers down.
