For some time I’ve wondered why some physicists or mathematicians don’t do a simple calculation:
Calculate the total energy received by the earth from the sun in one year.
Calculate the total energy produced by man in a year, all sources, including nuclear and hydroelectric.
I’m thinking that even including nuc and hydro, all of the energy created by man would be a tiny fraction of a percent of what earth receives from the sun.
I have a son with degrees in both math and physics, but he is too busy to do the calcs for me.........
