Lest we forget, CO₂ is "plant food" for every thing with green leaves (chlorophyll), without CO₂ the Earth's plant life would die. Plants break CO₂ down into carbon and oxygen, a vital component of the earth's atmosphere, without oxygen all animal life on earth would die.

Without CO₂ Earth would be entirely devoid of life, be careful what you wish for...
