If the media decides they can’t ignore it, they will try to make the crowd into a bunch of gun nuts and racists...another chance to bash the NRA and the Tea Party and to invent evidence that anyone who opposes Obama does so only because he is black. Maybe they will send a plant to do something provocative which they can use to try to discredit everyone there.

Alternatively, they can take wide angle shots of the protestors from a distance, dub in a voiceover "Thousands of supporters cheer as President Obama's motorcade makes it's way through Roseburg....". Yeah, they would do it - we're at that point where they will tell any lie, make any exaggeration.
