Gowdy will refuse the nomination, as he has refused all other attempts to get him in the Speakers Seat. Same with Jim Jordan. Look over here, far to your right: Newt Gingrich stands tanned, rested and ready to serve. I say let him do it. Paul Ryan does not want it, although his father figure of Mitt Romney may convince him to take it as an interim position, until after the Nov. 2016 elections. I still do not understand why they stopped everything when McCarthy dropped out. There were still two candidates for the job. Fix is in? Or is the plan to look and act as stupid as possible?
I say nominate and elect Nancy Pelosi, at least she will not cry like a baby and will control the House. Plus she is only about 2-3 degrees left of most Republicans.
