No it doesn’t at all. And they don’t get 16 weeks off a year. They get 10 federal holidays. 10 days at Christmas and 8 weeks off in summer. Most of them have to get summer jobs because pay is so poor.

Those who cannot do... Teach...

And those who can't teach, go into politics.

There’s also two weeks of vacation in the spring and more like 10 weeks off in summer.

For scoring on average at the very bottom among college applicants and graduates, teachers are paid very well—including with unionized public employee benefits such as healthcare and pensions well above average.

Also, the mind-numbingly poor pedagogy teachers are taught and brainwashed in—such as whole language or blended reading methods instead of phonics for reading and now common core math replacing even previous modern math approaches—make them inefficient teachers almost by design.

Same in my experience; I had few teachers in the late seventies and early eighties who were under thirty, and they were the ones who, when asked about the subject matter, would say “I’ll get back to you on that” (and wouldn’t).

That’s true; that is why they viciously fight to keep their privileged status in an industry where inefficiency is not just tolerated, but the norm.

Political correctness is a mind f00k. The Fed’s Core curriculum is insane. No way to make it normal to anyone who cares about education.

The other problem is thug and bullying students and P.C. administrative staff. No job is worth the risk of being beaten, raped and/or murdered by your “students.” And politically correct supervisors make every work or idea a risk of bullying. And the need to operate in a prison like environment in the name of survival, is sickening to teachers who know what education is and who know the nature of innocent children.

All about the ADA or pay per full seat...

Not so much are they learning...

After all then you classify them as “special needs” (yeah like a real teacher) and get paid more
