We have NOTHING to gain by fighting in Syria.
Let them all kill each other.
STAY OUT is written all over this one.
That’s 20 minutes you have to prepare to meet Jesus - I think that’s more than enough time - everyone dies except the Lord Christ
I believe we will be attacked.
I agree.
As I heard Jan Markell say on her program this week, during an interview with Dr. David Reagan: "I believe we are now past the birth pang stage."
I believe she is right.
We have cruel and unbelievable violence over the entire earth. Great apostasy and falling away from the truth. Nations in distress with perplexity. Strong signs of a worldwide economic collapse that will lead to a one world currency. Calls for a one world government (anyone actually listen to what pope Francis said?) Calls for a one world religion. And the entire world (including America) aligning against Israel, who is back in her land after two millennia of diaspora.
Absoultely. Obama told the world what he was going to do, and he has accomplished his nefarious task.
"We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."
Yes, Israel makes their false peace treaty with the Antichrist, and at the mid way point the beast breaks the treaty and sets himself up in the Temple to be worshiped as God.
Christ warned of this:
Matthew 24:15-16 So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains."
Eze 38:1 Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Eze 38:2 "Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
Eze 38:3 and say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal.
Eze 38:4 I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords.
Eze 38:5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet;
Eze 38:6 Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah from the far north and all its troopsmany people are with you.
Eze 38:7 "Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard for them.
Eze 38:8 After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely.
Eze 38:9 You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many peoples with you."
Eze 38:10 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan:
Eze 38:11 You will say, 'I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates'
Eze 38:12 to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land.
The thing is that right now there are many walls, bars and gates in Israel. The country is heavily fortified and heavily defended. The people do not live in safety. There are rockets being fired at them almost constantly. There is the threat of terrorist attacks daily.
But there IS a time when that won't be so:
Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
Rev 20:7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison
Rev 20:8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea.
Rev 20:9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.
The last two verse are the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38, 39. Same thing, not as much detail. After the thousand years there will be no walls, no defenses, no locks, no gates. Because people will have just gone through a thousand year period of peace and happiness under the direct rule of Christ.
God is there for our comfort. We must place our assurance in Him.
Bad things happen to all of us. I know of women who have been raped. I know of parents who have lost children in horrible circumstances.
My own life has had its share of pain and sorrow.
I have been reflecting on 2 Timothy chapter 2.
Paul was no stranger to suffering. He wrote 2 Timothy while in a Roman dungeon. He was most likely tortured before he was executed by Nero, who was known to be most cruel to his victims, especially Christians. Paul was well known the leader of early Christian church.
3 Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 4 No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer. 5 Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive the victors crown except by competing according to the rules. 6 The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops. 7 Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this. 8 Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, 9 for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But Gods word is not chained. 10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.11 Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; 12 if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; 13 if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.
2 Timothy 2: 3-13
But also remember: Christ told us to watch and be ready.
Did He not chastise the teachers of the law for not observing the signs of the times? Did He not give the parable of the wise vs. foolish virgins? Did He not say to be ready when the Master returns, and to be about our Father's business?
The Bible is clear: we are to be watchman on the wall, and we are to be ready for His coming.
I am going to watch that, thanks!
"And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation."
2 Peter 3:4
IMO, God will judge our corrupt politicians in DC and elsewhere and find them lacking. Wanna start a list?
One of the most fascinating subjects I have delved into in a very long time (both the man and the battle).
He will.
I also think the Bible is clear that God never brings destruction without giving repeated warnings.
There were a great amount of believers in Jesus Christ in Europe when the Black Plague came, and millions suffered and died.
This could be interpreted as a paradox. However, my own personal opinion is that we will have tribulation in this life, but He is with us.
"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world."
John 16:33
My own personal opinion is that before things get really, really bad, God will rapture out his bride.
Jonah prophesied that Nineveh would fall. He didn't say "if you continue to sin," he didn't say "unless you repent." He just up and said that the city would fall. But the people repented (in a fashion) and it didn't.
French and Spanish. Forgive my typo.
Enjoy your fear mongering.
Yes, but there are many who refuse to see this.
Even here on FR.
Yes, another poster pointed out my typo as well. Thanks.
Yes. Christ did say that, among many other things (in red in the NT). The 24th chapter of Matthew is a good place to latch on to. There are important warnings there that will stand us in good stead in these days of trial and tribulation. I re-read that chapter fairly often.
