I am scared of a painful ending also :)

I think I just say that to make myself believe that.

Though sometimes with the suffering I’ve endured, 20 minutes of terror and pain to get to Heaven seems easily worth it.

I am sorry you have known and seen suffering also.

one day it will be gone.

I try to enjoy life as much as possible but I do find it hard sometimes.

Again, may God bless you. I gather from your posts that the pain must be almost insufferable at times for you. I will pray for you.

I realize this is not a valid comparison to yours, but I mention it only because of my thoughts at the time. I had food poisoning recently, and it was pretty awful. I remember, thinking at the time, that I actually would prefer death than have this go on for any length of time.

There is spiritual suffering as well. I have known distance from God because of my own sin, and that has been a different (but very real) type of suffering. But praise God, He is the eternal healer, and hope.
