New Immigration Bill: Buy a House, Foreigners, Earn a Visa
Introduced yesterday by Senators Charles Schumer of New York and Mike Lee of Utah, the proposed bill would allow any foreigner who invests $500K in residential real estate to earn a three-year residential visa.

Well I appreciate the source . I actually read it. Here is the main provision of the 2011 bill
...”the proposed bill would allow any foreigner who invests $500K in residential real estate to earn a three-year residential visa. Some stipulations: buyers would have to pay in cash, live in the home for at least 180 days of the year, apply separately for a work visa, and, of course, deal with issues of citizenship and voting rights separately—they are not included.”
I simply don’t think that is “Amnesty” . I am not against LEGAL immigration. There is not a centilla of “amnesty” in what you resourced . I just beg to differ.
“Amnesty” is where , for example, a Mexican crosses our border, sucks of the largess of welfare ,medical care and education while he repeatly commits crimes but we give the illegal bastard citizenship. That’s what Rubio and Bush and that silly Graham want. That is the McCain style amnesty— not this you cite. —$500,000??? woe.
So drug dealers, human traffickers, "friendly rebels" who sold US stuff to ISIS, ISIS members who looted historic artifacts in Iraq and Syria, will be given three-year residencies? And that $500,000 in real estate? What's to stop them from being slum landlords and/or housing terrorists and illegals?
