Obama is the perfect patsy for a bully like Putin. It was another good reason why any Republican would have been better than Obama.
Any Republican who was a half-way acceptable candidate would've beaten Obama. McCain is, and was back then, certifiably insane. People didn't trust his judgement or trust him as Commander in Chief. Romney is (and was) an elitist snob who campaigned hard for the nomination, then refused to even campaign for the votes of the less fortunate 47% of the population.
Again this time, the Republican candidate most likely will lose if it isn't a candidate chosen in an honest way, to reflect the choice of voters.
