Stupid and politician are synonymous. At least in the majority of cases. Hmmm. Or is it the naive voters who buy the snake oil sales pitch.

Yet another unconstitutional law that will sit on the books and never be enforced as that would invite actual challenge, but you can guarantee that every house sold next to a school will include language notifying the buyer of the law and the forbidding of having guns in the house...

The California legislature passes dozens of these laws each year. Of course, most of the Republican party in the state are just Democrats with (R) after their name.

Any limits on having a Molotov Cocktail or any of it’s components within 1000 feet of a school.

Gasoline, Glass Bottles and Rags should be outlawed.

1/5 mile radius = 2/5 mile, or 0.4 mile, diameter.

You sometimes can’t get through town without crossing some of these circles.

Well, “Little” Ray, with that comment, you’ve proved once again what part of you is “little,” your brain! Or is is something located further down on your anatomy? Or both?

“Gasoline, Glass Bottles and Rags should be outlawed.”

Oh $hit, now we have to devise routes home from the gas station when we buy fuel for our lawn mowers!

See post #24. It does not apply to a place of residence or place of business or on private property.

Since these riders first appeared when the first gun free campus laws were passed (which incorrectly included property adjacent to schools), I have every confidence that such riders will expand to within a block of any school campus this go around.

Yes, such riders are meaningless and illegal - but not so shockingly, most people follow them like cattle.

It’s true.

A man who plans on killing innocent people will rethink his evil if confronted with a gun control law.

That’s why Chicago doesn’t have any murders. It’s gun control laws in action.

And if ‘common sense’ laws don’t work unicorns can be sent to the killers to make them happy again...

Does it cover private schools?

It says both public and private. However, it also says "without permission of administrators". There was an article last week about a private school in San Bruno (just south of San Francisco) that has private armed security walking the halls and grounds, blending in with teachers - with the permission and because of administrators.

Neah.
It is the reliable 55 electoral votes (over 20% of votes need to win the Presidency) that the People’s Democratic Peoples Republic of California provides the Democrats without them even having to work for it, and the freak show they send to Congress every session.

Well, I’m a Californian and I’m not a freak! And while I don’t like what’s happened here, the real problem we have is with the Republican Party. Like those in DC, they have no core values. Plus, also like DC, they’ve gone along with all the nutcake ideas on how to “reform” voting rules so now the “top two” vote getters in the primary are RATs. So in the General, it’s RAT against RAT.
But if you think you’re immune to what’s happened here, in the state where you are, you are sadly deluded! The only thing you have is a little more time to try and fix what’s happening there.
