House Speaker John Boehner is looking to move a bill to lift the debt ceiling before he leaves Congress, a tactic aimed at helping his successor, according to multiple sources with knowledge of internal party planning.
Timing has not been decided, but the Treasury Department says the nation's borrowing limit needs to be raised by Nov. 5, and Boehner (R-Ohio) would like to resolve the issue before a new speaker is sworn in. Boehner expects to step down Oct. 30. His office declined to comment for this story....

We honestly try to be humble every day. Problem is, the GOPe commits a daily transgression, and I must admit.....I can’t help myself. Neither can Norm.
It all goes back to what we say. Predicting this stuff is about the easiest thing imaginable. All one has to do is as we often say, “pay attention” and not lie to ones self about what reality shows them.
Anyone could have a perfect/near perfect hit rate because the GOP flat out tells us what transgression they will be fumbling through next. Every time. No exceptions.
They told us they intend to work with Barry ergo they will work with Barry. Look at Barry’s position and do the math on how the GOP can accommodate that in a way that most screws America. There’s your answer. And they do it every time.
Steve knows this and thats why his predictions are dead on every day. So do I. The GOP thinks and acts like a spoiled child or a bratty teen girl. It’s harder to catch goldfish in a bowl than predict their actions on a given subject. It all comes down to one simple and well known formula. “The GOP will invariably find a way to get to the worst possible choice, then take it”.
It’s that simple.
In all candor, it’s hard to take credit for elucidating the obvious....yet Norm and I do it anyway....LOL
