hanks to George Washington, Barack Obama cannot seek a third term, but the president confidently proclaimed this week that he believes he could secure another four years in the White House a boast some analysts quickly cast as wholly unrealistic, perhaps even politically delusional.

I’ve thought for a while that Obama has no intention of standing down.
He’ll find some way of staying in office, you watch.

Being the Democrat party can promise anything for votes and back it up with an increasing deficit unchallenged any Democrat could possibly make Obama’s claim.
It's Santa Claus Government all the time every election.

Absolutely delusional, he needs to be on medication and not in his present position.
Everyday shows more that he is unfit for the Presidency.

Well, if he can find a Republican opponent who will be gracious enough, like McCain and Romney, to hand him the election, again, he could.

Yes it’s odd isn’t it? That the Republicans control both houses of Congress and yet are so ineffective.
It’s bewildering why they don’t put him over the barrel.
What are your thoughts on whats going on there?

22nd Amendment(passed 1947) forbids president from seeking 3rd term. Do not know what Geo. Washington had to do with that.
There was a poll after about the third time he said this and it showed he could not be re-elected. The man is delusional (if he is a man).

You can think what you want Barky as long as you leave a year from January.
To: al baby
He’s made several references to staying in office.
He told, I think it was the Washington Press Club Dinner, that all around him were reminders that he has to leave office on January 20th 2017, then added:
“But a lot can happen between now and then”
The comments in this article, that he thinks he could win a third-term, he made the identical comments a few months ago whilst he was in Kenya.
It’s rather ominous to say the least.
