Republican presidential candidates Donald Trump and Ben Carson have threatened to boycott the next primary debate if CNBC does not adhere to their demands.

No, CNBC to cave.
No, CNBC to cave.
How invented these Debates, Democrats , because are the dumbest thing ever
Republicans being grilled by the Democrat media while their Leftist networks cash in on inflated ad rates because Trump brings in huge ratings. Tell me again how this benefits GOP candidates???
CNBC has all ready caved. Old news
O.K. I just listened to a long riff by El Rushbo, how he’s got the drizzling $h!t$” of being played by the Libs with the off again/on again Shrillary email soap opera.
Well, this story about Trump and Carson has been flacked here on FR for several days now; and to my knowledge, nowhere else. First of all, where’s the proof that either of them even said it? I don’t think they actually did say it.
Prior to the last R debate there was a panting hyperventilating report here that Trump said if CNN didn’t give their extra advertising profits to charity, he wasn’t going to participate. Turns out, he apparently never said it. What he did say was that he thought they SHOULD do that. And that was inflated into him making a threat. I assume that this was done in an attempt to make Trump look bad if CNN didn’t give to charity and Trump participated anyway.
So now THIS unsubstantiated story. As far as I’m concerned, it’s another crock. Neither Trump nor Carson (who is recuperating from prostate surgery) have said a word about it. My Mama didn’t name me Thomas in vain. Where’s the proof? Unless I HEAR it from Trump’s own mouth, it’s a crock.
And why would Trump do that, anyhow? In every other “debate” they threw everything at him but the toilet bowl, and he won anyhow and advanced in the polls. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
I think this story is a crock.
He was recuperating 10 yrs ago
Trump - Carson got what they wanted and are in.
On to the next news topic........
Oh no! That’s no proof. And it ISN’T a letter, either. It’s merely a video of a reporterette, having another CNN talking head REPEAT something HE heard the bartender’s brother-in-law say he thought HE overheard ABOUT an imaginary letter.
That video is the CNN malarkey that STARTED this whole BS shower. I want to see a pdf of THE LETTER or I throw a brown flag and call BS.
El Rushbo sez he’s the “Mayor of Realville”. Well, I’m from there, too. I admit, I’m only the second-assistant streetsweeper, but I’m still a citizen, and I’m growing tired of being played.....just like El Rushbo.
If you view the second link it provides the letter and quotes directly from it.
Sorry. Muggin Kelly doth not a credible source make.
Come on! With all the internet and IT wizards on FR, it can’t be THAT difficult to produce a pdf of THE letter which set forth the demands. To me, it’s important whether both campaigns sent letters, or only one; and if only one, WHICH one? Not to mention the letter of agreement, BACK from the GOPe to Trump and Carson, or WHOEVER actually sent a demand letter.
And then there would be an announcement from the GOPe, TO all the OTHER candidates, announcing the change in debate length, and the change in format, and explaining the reason WHY. Where are THOSE documents.
And are we to believe that these changes are now chisled in stone and NOT ONE of the other 14 candidates have expressed an opinion about it? Bobby Jindal? Chris Christy? Carly Fiorino? Mike Huckabee? Not one peep from ANYBODY?
This is getting LESS believable all the time.
The letter was sourced and directly quoted from. . .while we can easily believe CBS inventing a letter (ala Bush), but in this case. . .not so easy.
Trumps son was on Fox & Friends this morning and said his father and Carson are not joining the debate if the terms were adjusted like CNBC wanted. . and he said it appears CNBC caved.
Here is the link: http://video.foxnews.com/v/4561773805001/eric-trumps-predictions-for-his-fathers-administration/?playlist_id=930909787001#sp=show-clips (he addresses the subject starting about 00:30 sec into the clip).
I understand you are invested in believing this story is a plant, a sham, a made-up story, but when you have the son. . well. . .perhaps you need to re-evaluate your position in this case.
I guess you missed Post 14.

(CNN)CNBC, the Republican National Committee and the GOP presidential campaigns have agreed to criteria for the October 28 primary debate in Boulder, Colorado.
RNC Chairman Reince Priebus tweeted that the parties have agreed to the following criteria:
a two-hour debate, including commercials; a 30-second closing statement for each candidate;
and a single, open-ended question at the beginning of the debate that each candidate will have
the opportunity to answer.
The new criteria satisfies several of the campaigns' demands for opening and
closing statements, as well a 120-minute cap on the debate time.
CNN reported earlier Friday that CNBC had agreed to limit its forthcoming Republican primary
debate to two hours and allow for opening and/or closing statements, acquiescing to the
public demands of Donald Trump and Ben Carson, and the private demands of several GOP campaigns.
end snip, more at linked source
CNBC caved yesterday.
I believe that is better directed to Tucker39, but thanks anyway.
