Tovarnik, Croatia (dpa) - Slovenia deployed its military to its border with Croatia on Saturday to help police handle an influx of refugees who re-routed their course across the Balkans after Hungary refused to let them through.

Prime Minister Miro Cerar said the army deployment does not mean that Slovenia is in a state of emergency but that the government would like to control the refugee situation at the border, Slovenian news agency STA reported.

Cerar's announcement came after a meeting of his national security council.

Slovenia can only take in a maximum of 2,500 refugees per day, Interior Ministry Secretary Bostjan Sefic said.

By Saturday afternoon, Croatia's Interior Ministry counted 5,220 migrants who had arrived in Croatia and were due to be shuttled to Slovenia.

Now that Hungary has ALSO sealed their Croatian border, and Bulgaria is shooting Jihadi's on it's Turkish border, the only route north is through the Balkans.

This is going to be something to watch with winter approaching.

Estimated 2,061,085 people in that little country. 2,500 Muslims make for a pretty significant new underclass.

“Slovenia is among the European countries with the most pronounced ageing of population, ascribable to a low birth rate and increasing life expectancy.” That small 2,500 will breed like rabbits and import their families and become 5,000 in 10 years. The population of Slovenians will continue to decline. European suicide goes on unchallenged.

"And that’s 2,500 *per day*."

Rest assured they are being ushered to the Austrian border as quickly as possible.

Should I draw a conclusion that Hungary’s rather quickly built and not impossibly expensive wall is keeping the invaders out?

Why didn’t Merkel send cruise ships to pick up these people and transport them directly to Germany if she wanted them so bad?
