On Friday afternoon, Fox News host Neil Cavuto took the rather extraordinary step of delivering a lengthy apology over his show’s use of Wayne Simmons as a terrorism expert, after it was revealed that Simmons had been arrested for allegedly lying about his ties to the Central Intelligence Agency. Cavuto told viewers that “it has come to our attention that a frequent guest on this show might not have been who he purported to be”

Neil would have to be the top choice on Fox for a guy you would want for a neighbor. He really comes across as a gentleman and a nice guy.

I also enjoy his opinion commentaries.

When the hell did lying about connections with a federal agency become a serious crime? When a guy makes a factual film about Islam and gets thrown into prison? When a guy goes to jail for a minor campaign law infraction after he targets Obama? Thus is scary and it’s not scary be a use of this guy. It’s scary because of the extent that bastard in the White House will go to silence opposition

"He really comes across as a gentleman and a nice guy."

I think that he comes across as a rude, arrogant boor. He always interrupts and talks over his guests, whom I would prefer hearing instead of Cavuto's constant bloviating. He is very high on my list of FOX's most despicable anchors.

I confess that I have not watched him much in the last year, but I have always liked him and thought he had some interesting guests.

Different strokes for different folks - I remember when he was on FNC he was one of the few that did not feel the need to have a left/right screaming match on the show.

Cavuto has to be good. Because, unlike other Fox hosts, his legs alone won’t keep him on the air.

I couldn't agree more.

Cavuto’s voice is sometimes annoyingly faded out. He was doing an interview with Eric Trump and he had that wimpy, trailing off voice—dull uninspiring tone really ruined the interview.

It appears that Mr. Simmons got into legal trouble not because he lied to Fox News, but because he actually obtained high level jobs with the federal government by lying about his background.

Maybe the guy just meant he was a member of "Canadian Institute of Actuaries", or "Caught In the Act", or "Christians In Action", or "Clowns In Action", or "Compassion In Action", or "Culinary Institute of America", or one of these other real or imagined "CIA" organizations around the world.

(And, now, maybe someone should investigate Cavuto to see if he is really a genuine "Cavuto Interviewer/Analyst" ("CIA") news host.)

Cavuto makes his guest feel silly by making frivolous comments just as the guest makes their most serious point. It's a dirty trick.

He has great guests, sometimes- however, he always cuts them off, and would rather hear himself speak instead of his sometimes stellar guests. Even when he asks them a direct question, he never listens to the answer, and even more despicable never lets his listeners hear the answer either, he always chimes in with his own opinion midway through the answer..

There ain’t no justice. Mr Simmons has been arrested for falsely claiming to be a CIA agent, and yet obama continues to masquerade as president. Hardly seems fair.

(By the way, not even my spell checker recognizes “obama.”)

Faking your resume will get your fired at Fox News. You have to fake documentation and an entire story to get fired from CBS News.
