Carly Fiorina's time near the top of the Republican polls may have come to an end, as another national CNN/ORC poll out Tuesday suggests. Just 4 percent of Republican or Republican-leaning voters said they would cast their votes for her in a primary election, down from 15 percent in September.
Overall, Donald Trump led the field with 27 percent, followed again by Ben Carson with 22 percent, up 8 points from last month's survey. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio both earned 8 percent, followed by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul at 5 percent. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Fiorina pulled in 4 percent, while Ohio Gov. John Kasich earned 3 percent, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum 2 percent and South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham at 1 percent.
Appearing later in the morning on CNN's "New Day," Trump commented that both he and Carson have "hit a chord" in the electorate.
On whether the two could team up as a presidential ticket, Trump remarked, "Well, I like him. He likes me. Stranger things have happened, that I can tell you. But its too early to think about that."
Responding to Fiorina's drop, Trump expressed surprise that the former Hewlett-Packard executive fell by so much so quickly.

I’ll bet he was grinning. Or trying hard not to. LOL
Lindsey is surging!! Climbing all the way from 0 percent to 1, look out.
I’m sure the next FOX poll will have Carson surging ahead of Trump.
Give her credit, she gave it a good run.
Give her credit, she gave it a good run.
At a time when the West desperately requires effective, inspired leadership, there simply is no equivalent of Ronald Reagan on the horizon. A generation ago could anyone imagine that Western leaders would publicly pout and whine rather that execute effective policies. They can’t even defend their own borders. The Russians and Chinese have to do everything they can not to burst out laughing when they meet with the likes of Obama, Kerry, Merkel, Cameron or Hollande. The West needs a champion and simply does not have one
And Cinderella goes back to the kiddie table.
IT WAS NEVER THERE!!
It was a media-concocted narrative that was so sloppy, many of us predicted it a week out!
MSM needs more smoke and mirrors to shut Ted Cruz out of the next debate and media coverage of the campaign.
They’re running out of RINOs to pimp. On to Rubio.
“near the top”...bs! More like languishing at the bottom of the middle tier.
Also, better eat quickly children, as Chris Christie is about to join you. The kid on the right, he sees him coming!
I’ll give her credit for giving me a good case of the runs.
BYE FACE !!!!
She didn’t do bad at the last debate, assertive, knew the issues and came across on international stuff pretty well. I think folks looked into her past professional performance as political campaigns and decided to pass on that horse.

I knew exactly what Trump meant by that comment & he was not talking about “wrinkles” or “age”. Carly is like Hilly in that the more you see her, the less you like her, thus what I think was her ‘dead cat bounce’ after the debate. After hearing her rattling off memorized talking points (she’s a verbal machine gun) two or three times, I was done. Then along came the background info on her CEO experience & that was the last nail in the Carly coffin for me.
What has she been doing since the debate?
The CNN/ORC poll is at the top of the RCP Average below. Look at the RCP data for Cruz vs. Christie. Do you believe that? Do you believe that Huckabee and Paul are out-polling Cruz? I don't?
What this poll seems to be trying to accomplish is to keep Huckabee, Paul, Kasich, Cristie and Santorum in the debates when we all know they are goners sooner if not later.
Carson refused to play the “black candidate” that the GOPEs hoped to make Trump out to be “racist”.
Fiorina was supposed to be the female candidate to make Trump look “sexist”.
Now it’s time for Rubio (Hispanic(?) guy), but Jeb is getting a bit peeved that he isnt being helped more directly while the GOPE is wasting time and money trying to destroy Trump with these “minority” candidates (hence his recent jabs at Rubio). Also the bigwigs are having to handle the mess in the House, so they haven’t had time to fully launch their next dud at Donald.
Praising democrats, democrat judges, democrat politicians, democrat positions on policies. Been getting praise and interviews from Obola’s media though.
Gee. And she’s dropping in the polls too. I wonder why.
