Why is NASA doing USGS work ?
Obviously NASA doesn't have enough to do
Sounds like duplicity to me .

I thought USGS was the expert earthquake people and that NASA was the Muslim outreach.

Looks like the same people who are predicting weather 100 years from now are also predicting earthquakes.

On a related note, anyone see San Andreas?

I rented it on-demand the other night. God, what a POS that was. Even the special effects were crap.

Daughter was freakin' hot though!

5.0 is nothing .. I’ve been in a 5.1 .. and it was easily survivable. But, the 7.1 was a little scary.

I’ll bet that the Gulf Coast will be hit by a hurricane too. That wasn’t hard.

Wow. A 5.0 in the next 2 years? Those JPL folks are really going out on a limb ... hope they’re well paid for these compelling projections.

I was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley. Earthquakes are a yearly event in the greater Los Angeles area.
The Whittier quake was centered under my home. Lifted me up ~ 2 ft. NO damage to house or possessions. My sister who lived only a mile away lost all her dishes, glasses, and wall pictures....go figure! You get used to the shaking....Lolololol

I lived in So Calif from 1964 to 1993—29 years.

A 5.0 quake is more of an annoyance than anything else.

Now- get into the 6’s or the 7’s and you have a news story.
